What was your most memorable moment?
In a zodiac in the midst of giant icebergs. Climbing up Orne . I could go up, I couldn’t go down, petrified. Zach assisted me . Sooo patient Polar plunge Sighting of 1 st iceberg after 2 days Drake Passage. It means we finally made it to Antarctica, our 7th continent Orca whales frolicking around the ship in very close proximity. The kindness and diligent staff. Paid attention to details . Mindful to preserve Antarctica and everything in it.

The Polar Plunge was an adventure of a lifetime for me. I’m 70 and I know I won’t do it again. Social media personnel said everyone’s plunge was captured in photo. I played the USB given to us as souvenir. It was not there. Can I please have a copy of this important memory ? Let me know. martesas@yahoo.com

Get a expedition ship, not a cruise liner
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I’m blessed that I was able to do this before I lost my faculties and ability to travel. 3 things aligned in this trip Time….I’ retired Health…..still mobile and good health Wealth…..saved my resources for this.

How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
3 years of being cancelled because of pandemic. A lot of things checked in my bucket list. ……last continent …….5 Oceans …….7 Seas ……12th wonder of the world
