Only way to be up close and in the quiet! Also a way to stay more active.
Tell us about the Sylvia Earle
Gorgeous, clean, new, all the spaces you would need/want on a ship. The food was really good and also catered to various dietary restrictions very nicely. I would absolutely go back on the Sylvia Earle!
Tell us about the expedition team
Loved everyone! The naturalists were awesome and knowledgeable, the leaders were helpful and were conscientious about our safety and fun. The dining staff were wonderful and doting. Everyone was friendly!
Were Swoop right to recommend Aurora Expeditions?
Yes

Zodiacs were great. Be prepared with your gear as when the waves pick up you will get wet!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I did not love our hotel in Ushuaia that we were put in with Swoop/Aurora. It was a bit run down, although staff was friendly and good. The best thing about Los Acebos was that it was right near trailhead to the Martial Glacier hike which we did in the morning prior to our Beagle channel excursion with Aurora.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
VERY! Listened to lots of podcasts, participated in the Swoop webinar, asked our swoop representatives lots of questions!
